I recently had the pleasure of visiting Tiong Bahru market, an iconic hawker center in Singapore, with my father and brother. We had a fantastic time exploring the market's diverse range of food options and indulging in some of Singapore's most beloved dishes.

Our first stop was a stall serving fried carrot cake, which is a popular local breakfast dish. The dish consists of cubes of radish cake stir-fried with eggs and preserved radish. It's a simple yet flavorful dish that we all enjoyed. We also ordered a plate of chee chong fun, which are steamed rice rolls served with sweet soy sauce and chili sauce. The rolls were delicate and had a great texture.

Next, we tried chee kuey, another classic dish that is a type of rice cake that is typically served with a sweet soy sauce and chili sauce. The chee kuey was soft and slightly chewy, and the sauce was a perfect combination of sweet and spicy.

After our savory dishes, we were ready for something sweet, so we decided to try two popular desserts, cendol and ice kachang. Cendol is a refreshing dessert made with shaved ice, coconut milk, and green rice flour jelly. The dessert also contains palm sugar syrup and red beans, which add a delightful sweetness and texture. The ice kachang is another popular dessert, made with shaved ice, syrup, and various toppings such as red beans, jelly, and corn.

Overall, our visit to Tiong Bahru market was a fantastic experience. The market is a great place to try a variety of delicious dishes, and the atmosphere is bustling and vibrant. I would highly recommend a visit to anyone looking to try some of Singapore's best food in a lively and authentic setting.
